Suits people who value it as a traditional or ornamental material. If succinic acid is what you are after, that acid is sold on its own, and your own cells turn it over constantly.
How much to take
No dose figure is on record and no human study has established one. Powdered forms vary, and there is no measured daily amount to point you to.
Time to feel it
Nobody has measured a time course, because no controlled human study of amber taken by mouth has been done. There is no established point at which anything would be expected.

Day one passes without a sensation. A highly crosslinked, insoluble resin moves through the digestive tract much as an inert mineral does.
With regular use
Nobody has measured what weeks of daily use do. The chemistry says an insoluble polymer releases very little, so there is nothing expected to accumulate.
How well tolerated
Beads on an infant are a choking and strangulation hazard, and paediatric bodies warn about that on its own terms. Powdered amber has not been studied for tolerance by mouth.
How it feels
There is nothing reported to feel, and no study has looked. People who keep it describe the appeal as the object itself rather than a sensation.
The overlooked benefit
The succinic acid amber is prized for is an ordinary citric acid cycle intermediate your cells turn over constantly, and it is also a permitted food acidulant.

Baltic amber is distinguished from other fossil resins by its succinic acid content, which is where the name succinite comes from. Any claim made for amber internally traces back to succinate, a normal intermediate of the citric acid cycle. Buying isolated succinic acid delivers that compound at a known dose, which amber does not.

Succinate dehydrogenase passes electrons to the quinone pool, which is complex II of the respiratory chain, so ubiquinone is the direct acceptor downstream of succinate. The two sit adjacent in the same pathway. The relationship is textbook electron transport, not evidence for amber as a supplement.

Where Amber comes from.

Amber is tree resin that got buried and turned to stone over millions of years. Baltic amber holds a bit of succinic acid, which is where most of the health talk comes from, though your own cells already make that acid constantly. The stuff is essentially a rock as far as your gut is concerned: it does not dissolve and it does not break down. If succinic acid is what you are after, buy succinic acid.
