No study gave these as a pair, so they are not in the card above. But the reason they belong together is settled biochemistry, not a guess, so it is worth knowing.
Both act on the T1R2/T1R3 sweet receptor but with different onset and decay profiles. Mogrosides come on slowly and linger, steviol glycosides hit faster and carry a licorice-like tail. Blending them lets each be used below the dose where its own off-note becomes obvious. This is a taste-curve effect, not a metabolic one.
Mogroside V is roughly two hundred times sweeter than sucrose, so the amount needed for a teaspoon of sweetness is too small to measure or to give any bulk. Erythritol supplies the volume, the crystal texture and the browning behaviour that recipes expect. The monk fruit supplies almost all the actual sweetness. Neither one changes what the other does chemically.
Inulin gives body and a faint sweetness that fills the thin mouthfeel left when sucrose is removed, while mogrosides carry the sweetness intensity. The pairing is common in fibre-fortified drink mixes. Worth knowing that inulin ferments in the colon and can cause gas at higher intakes, which the monk fruit portion does not contribute to.
Gymnemic acids temporarily block the sweet receptor on the tongue, which is the exact site mogrosides act on. Taken together, or within roughly an hour of each other, the monk fruit will taste like nothing at all. This is a perception effect only and wears off, but it makes the two poor companions in the same drink.
Whey isolate carries a savoury, slightly sulphurous background that needs masking. Mogrosides cover it without adding carbohydrate to the macro panel, which is why they show up in so many protein blends. The trade-off is the lingering sweet tail that some people notice on the second or third scoop.
Curcumin is bitter and astringent in liquid formats, and sweetness suppresses bitterness perception at the receptor level. Mogrosides do that job at doses too small to affect the drink's nutrition panel. There is no evidence that monk fruit changes curcumin absorption in either direction.
Caffeine is intensely bitter and most ready-to-drink versions solve that with sugar. Mogrosides substitute for the sugar without the calorie load, though they cannot fully mimic sucrose's body, which is why these drinks usually still carry a bulking agent. No interaction with caffeine's own actions.
