Sensitive Plant + IronEstablished phytochemistry: the tannin content of Mimosa binds non-haem iron in the gut lumen.

Mimosa pudica leaf and seed carry hydrolysable tannins, and polyphenols of that class form insoluble complexes with ferrous and ferric iron before absorption. Anyone taking an iron supplement for low iron status should separate the two by a couple of hours. This is a spacing instruction, not a reason to avoid either one.

Sensitive Plant + Vitamin CAscorbate reduces ferric to ferrous iron and competes with polyphenols for iron binding.

When a tannin-rich botanical is taken with a meal, ascorbate partly rescues non-haem iron absorption by keeping iron in the reduced, better-absorbed state. The effect is dose-dependent and does not fully cancel a heavy polyphenol load. It is the standard workaround when a polyphenol-rich botanical is taken alongside food.

Sensitive Plant + Psyllium HuskBoth supply gel-forming polysaccharide, and the seed coat mucilage behaves the same way psyllium does.

Mimosa pudica seed swells in water into a viscous mucilage, which is why it is sold as a gut-sweep material. Stacking it with psyllium raises total luminal viscosity in the same way two viscous fibres always do. Fluid intake has to go up with the combination, or the result is the opposite of what was wanted.

Sensitive Plant + Activated CharcoalBoth are non-specific binders used in the same gut protocols.

Charcoal adsorbs organic molecules broadly and mucilage traps material in a gel, so the pair is often stacked in commercial gut protocols. Neither one discriminates between what you want removed and what you want absorbed, so medicines and fat-soluble vitamins taken at the same time can be caught as well. Separate both from anything else by at least two hours.

Sensitive Plant + ZincTannin and phytate content of seed material binds divalent cations in the gut.

Polyphenol and phytate both complex zinc before it reaches the transporter, which lowers the fraction absorbed from a co-ingested dose. The interaction is a timing problem rather than a permanent one. Zinc taken away from the botanical is not affected.

Sensitive Plant + ProbioticsMucilage polysaccharide reaches the colon undigested and is fermentable substrate.

The galactomannan-type mucilage in the seed is not digested by human enzymes and arrives in the colon intact, where saccharolytic bacteria can use it. Whether that produces a measurable shift in a person's microbiota has not been tested in controlled human work. Read it as substrate chemistry rather than a demonstrated prebiotic outcome.
