Thorne Thorne Niacinamide
SPECIMEN #THORNE-N
VITAMINThorne

Thorne Niacinamide

Comprehensive daily nutritional support, general wellness, and antioxidant protection.. The product boasts premium ingredient forms and a strong core multivitamin/mineral profile. However, the inclusion of Nicotinamide Riboside at a very low dose, alongside several other underdosed phytonutrients, prevents it from reaching a higher score. The misleading product name is also a concern.

8.0/10
EXCELLENT

This is actually Thorne's comprehensive multivitamin (34 ingredients despite the name). Core vitamins are well-dosed: Vitamin C at 850mg (above optimal), folate at 1.7mg DFE (above optimal), magnesium at 250mg with Albion chelate, zinc at 15mg optimal with TRAACS, selenium at 200mg at the diminishing threshold. Uses premium chelated mineral forms throughout. D3 at 2000 IU is adequate. The specialty ingredients (quercetin, resveratrol, astaxanthin, lutein) are mostly underdosed but serve as support (no penalty). Solid comprehensive multi with premium forms.

What We Like

  • Excellent quality and bioavailable forms for most minerals (Albion, TRAACS, DimaCal, Bororganic).
  • Robust dosing for many essential vitamins and minerals.
  • Includes a broad spectrum of nutrients.

Watch Out For

  • Nicotinamide Riboside is severely underdosed for NAD+ boosting effects.
  • Many added phytonutrients (Quercetin, Resveratrol, Lutein, Astaxanthin, Zeaxanthin, Lycopene) are significantly underdosed.
  • Product name 'Niacinamide' is misleading as Niacinamide is not present, and its B3 cousin (NR) is underdosed.
