Plant polyphenols in general are metabolised by gut bacteria and can in turn shift community composition, so a two-way relationship with a live culture is plausible. Read it as mechanistic rather than clinical.
Quercetin glycosides are among the characterised flavonoids in Agrimonia species, which means a quercetin supplement adds to the same class already present. Both are handled by the same intestinal and hepatic conjugation enzymes, so combining them raises the substrate load on that pathway. The practical result is overlapping rather than novel chemistry. No human study has tested the combination.
