No study gave these as a pair, so they are not in the card above. But the reason they belong together is settled biochemistry, not a guess, so it is worth knowing.
Tocopherols are the standard oxidation control for a linoleic-rich seed oil, and madia oil carries some natively. Added tocopherol extends the window before peroxide and anisidine values climb. This is a stability relationship in the bottle, not a physiological effect in the person taking it.
Rosemary extract standardised to carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid is widely used to slow oxidation in polyunsaturated culinary oils. It is often paired with tocopherol because the two intercept radicals at different points in the chain. The pairing is about shelf life and flavour retention.
Carotenoids need dietary lipid to enter mixed micelles and reach the enterocyte. Any fixed oil, including madia seed oil, can serve that role when taken in the same meal. The oil is a carrier here and contributes nothing carotenoid-specific.
Lutein uptake rises when it is consumed with fat rather than in a low-fat meal. A seed oil supplies the triglyceride needed for micelle formation. The effect belongs to the fat itself and would be the same with olive, sunflower or safflower oil.
Linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid compete for the same delta-6 desaturase, so a very high omega-6 intake slows conversion along the omega-3 arm. Preformed EPA and DHA bypass that step, which is why the competition matters less when the omega-3 source is fish oil rather than a plant oil. The point is about ratio, not about one oil cancelling the other.
Flaxseed oil delivers alpha-linolenic acid, which needs delta-6 desaturase to move toward EPA. A large simultaneous load of linoleic acid from a seed oil occupies the same enzyme. Taking both is not harmful, but the omega-3 conversion yield from flax drops as omega-6 intake rises.
Lecithin is the usual emulsifier when a fixed oil has to be dispersed into an aqueous or powdered format. It lowers interfacial tension and keeps the oil phase from separating. This is manufacturing convention rather than a nutritional pairing.
