What Heal-All is, and what it does.

Does it work
Suits herbal tea drinkers and people drawn to traditional European and Chinese herbs. A tincture suits you if you want the triterpenes, a decoction if you want the polysaccharide.
How much to take
Start with the amount the maker prints. Traditional use is a cup of infusion made from the dried flower spike.
Time to feel it
Nobody has measured a time to effect in people. Traditional use is same-day for a rinse or an infusion, and anything longer term is unmeasured.
The first dose
Day one is a warm, faintly astringent cup. Beyond that dry, tea-like feel in the mouth, no first-day change has been measured.
With regular use
Weeks of daily use have not been measured in people. What is known sits at the level of the plant's chemistry and laboratory work.
How well tolerated
Well tolerated as a tea in long traditional use. Its tannins bind non-haem iron in the same drink, so space it from iron, and ask a clinician if pregnant.
How it feels
Mild and astringent, closer to a green herbal tea than to anything stimulating. Most people notice the taste and the warmth and little else.
The overlooked benefit
A water decoction and an alcohol tincture are different products. Water pulls the prunellin polysaccharide, alcohol pulls the ursolic acid triterpenes.

Heal-All + RosemaryBoth are Lamiaceae herbs that accumulate rosmarinic acid as a principal phenolic, so the two overlap in phenolic chemistry.

Rosmarinic acid is the dominant caffeic acid ester in Prunella vulgaris and also the compound the herb rosemary is named for. Combining them in a formula raises the total rosmarinic acid input rather than adding a distinct one. Anyone specifying a phenolic dose should count both sources. This is compositional overlap.

Heal-All + Vitamin CAscorbate participates in the redox cycling that regenerates oxidised plant phenolics in the aqueous phase.

Phenolic compounds donate a hydrogen atom and become phenoxyl radicals, and ascorbate can reduce them back to the parent phenol. The chemistry is well characterised in solution and in food systems. Whether the same recycling happens at meaningful rates in tissue after oral intake is far less certain. Read this as chemistry rather than a clinical claim.

Heal-All + Licorice RootLong-standing pairing in East Asian herbal formulation, where licorice is added to most multi-herb decoctions as a harmonising component.

Prunella spike, known as xia ku cao, appears alongside licorice in classical formula construction. The pairing is documented by tradition and formulary practice rather than by controlled comparison. Licorice also carries its own blood pressure and potassium considerations at sustained doses. Read the pairing as traditional convention.

Heal-All + ChamomileBoth are aqueous-infusion herbs with flavonoid and phenolic acid profiles, combined in calming and throat-comfort tea blends.

Chamomile brings apigenin glycosides and Prunella brings rosmarinic acid and triterpenes, and both extract well into hot water. The blend is a beverage formulation convention. There is no clinical work on the combination. The basis is preparation compatibility plus traditional use.

Heal-All + Green Tea Extract (EGCG)Both are polyphenol-dense aqueous extracts, and both carry tannins that bind dietary minerals in the gut.

Catechins and the tannin fraction of Prunella both complex non-haem iron in the intestinal lumen. Stacking two tannin-rich extracts raises that binding load. For someone working on low iron status this is worth spacing apart from an iron dose. The interaction is on mineral absorption, not on either herb's own activity.

Heal-All + IronTannins and phenolic acids in the herb bind non-haem iron and lower its uptake from the same intake occasion.

Polyphenol-iron complexes are poorly soluble and pass through the intestine unabsorbed. This is the same well-documented mechanism that makes tea with a meal lower iron absorption. Separating a polyphenol-rich herbal infusion from an iron dose by two hours avoids most of it. The endpoint here is absorption.

Heal-All + ElderberryBoth are used in the same seasonal wellness formats, and both are anthocyanin or phenolic-dense aqueous preparations.

Elderberry and Prunella spike appear together in seasonal syrups and teas across different herbal traditions. The pairing is about use occasion rather than a described mechanism. No combination data exists. Read it as formulation convention.

What Heal-All actually does.

The main active compound is an ester made from two smaller plant acids, and it's packaged with other plant chemicals including a couple of flavonoid sugars and two triterpene acids.

The main compound itself is poorly absorbed intact, most of what shows up in the blood is what gut bacteria and the liver turn it into, so what the herb does in the body has to be credited to those breakdown products rather than the original compound.

The triterpene compounds are fat-soluble and dissolve into alcohol, not water, so a traditional water-based tea carries the sugars and acids but very little of the triterpenes.
