It suits people who use traditional Ayurvedic preparations or aromatic topicals, and anyone drawn to single-botanical formulas with a long documented history of use.
How much to take
No dose figure is on record. Oil and wood powder aren't interchangeable by weight, so follow the preparation's own label and dilute the oil into a carrier before skin contact.

The aroma is immediate. Anything from the internal wood powder sits on a traditional timescale of weeks, and nobody has measured that in a trial.

The himachalene and himachalol fraction that defines deodar wood oil is strongly lipophilic and will not disperse in an aqueous base. A medium-chain triglyceride carrier is the standard way to get it into a dosable, stable liquid. This is formulation chemistry, and it says nothing about what the oil does once absorbed.

Where Himalayan Cedar comes from.

This is the heartwood of the deodar cedar, a big Himalayan conifer, and it is the same tree used for building timber. The wood gets steam distilled into an oil, or ground into a powder for traditional formulas. Which one you have matters, because the oil and the powder carry quite different chemistry despite the shared name.

Made from a plant. What ends up in the capsule tracks the harvest, so batch testing and a stated marker matter more here than with a made molecule.
