Russian tarragon extracts and chromium both appear in blood sugar support formulas, working through different routes: chromium as a component of chromodulin in insulin signalling, tarragon phenolics through carbohydrate-digesting enzyme inhibition in laboratory systems. Anyone already on glucose-lowering medication should count both, since the effects run in the same direction. Human data for the combination specifically is not available.

Read this pairing as a marketing-driven claim with thin support rather than a settled effect.

French tarragon essential oil contains estragole, which is converted by cytochrome P450 to 1'-hydroxyestragole and then to a DNA-reactive sulfate ester. This is why concentrated tarragon oil is treated differently from the culinary herb, and it is a reason to keep concentrated estragole exposure low rather than to reach for a protective co-supplement.
