Soy delivers this isoflavone almost entirely as glucoside and malonylglucoside conjugates that absorb poorly intact. Bacterial beta-glucosidases cleave the sugar and release the absorbable aglycone in the gut. Two people eating identical soy can end up with markedly different circulating levels because of this step alone.
Selected Lactobacillus strains are used industrially to pre-convert soy isoflavone glucosides to aglycones during fermentation, which is why fermented soy foods carry a higher aglycone share. Co-formulating shifts the delivered form. Enzyme activity is strain-specific and not a property of the genus as a whole.
Fermentable fibre feeds the colonic bacteria responsible for isoflavone deconjugation and onward metabolism. Shifting the community shifts what is liberated and absorbed. The direction is well supported for isoflavones generally, and the magnitude in people has not been settled.
This compound is the 6-methoxy derivative of daidzein, so the two are structurally adjacent and appear together in every soy extract. They share the same absorption and conjugation routes. The methoxy group is what differentiates the pharmacokinetics of the two.
Ascorbate can regenerate oxidised phenolic species in solution, and isoflavone phenols sit in that chemistry. This has been characterised in vitro rather than in people. It is a mechanism worth stating and not a demonstrated combined benefit.
MK-7 comes from Bacillus subtilis fermentation of soybeans, so both constituents already coexist in natto. They act by unrelated routes, K2 through gamma-carboxylation of bone matrix proteins. The pairing is compositional convention rather than a measured interaction.
Soy isoflavone material is routinely bundled with calcium and vitamin D in bone-support products. Calcium has not been shown to alter isoflavone absorption in either direction. This is formulation practice.
Vitamin D and soy isoflavones are frequently combined in products aimed at bone mineral support in midlife women. The two act through entirely separate routes and no absorption interaction has been reported. Read the pairing as product design.

In the bean it is bound to sugar. The free form only appears after processing or gut bacteria strip the sugar off.
It sits mostly in the sprout end of the bean, so germ extracts have far more of it than ordinary soy extracts.
