Does it work
The active compounds are real. The blood pressure data (from seed extract) is legit. But stalk powder in blends gives you maybe 5-10% of a therapeutic dose.
How much to take
150-300mg of celery seed extract for blood pressure. Stalk powder would need much higher amounts.
Time to feel it
A mild diuretic effect can turn up within a day or two at concentrated extract amounts. Blood pressure readings already in the normal range are tracked over six to eight weeks.

With regular use
Celery seed extract at proper doses may modestly lower blood pressure over 6-8 weeks. Stalk powder in blends won't do this.

Is celery stalk the same as celery seed extract?
No. Celery seed extract is much more concentrated in active compounds. The stalk is mostly water and fiber.
Will the celery in my blend lower my blood pressure?
Probably not. You'd need a dedicated celery seed extract at 150-300mg. Blend amounts are too small.
What about celery allergies?
Celery allergy is one of the most common food allergies in Europe. If you're allergic, avoid supplements containing it.

Celery is a concentrated dietary nitrate source, and nitrate reduced to nitrite by oral bacteria is converted to nitric oxide more readily in an acidic stomach when ascorbate is present. Ascorbate acts as the reducing agent in that step, so co-ingestion raises the share of swallowed nitrite that becomes nitric oxide.

Celery stalk and beetroot both deliver inorganic nitrate that enters the same enterosalivary circuit, so the two add to one nitrate load rather than acting through separate routes. Formulators use them together to reach a nitrate level neither source reaches alone at a palatable dose.

The flavone apigenin travels in celery mostly bound to sugar as apiin. Enzymes in the gut wall and gut bacteria have to snip that sugar off before the free aglycone can be absorbed.
